Lessons we can learn from our dogs
Unconditional Love. Most dogs are famous for its unconditional love, no matter how bad we look and how unpleasant the wind messed up your hair when you come home one day, to our dogs, those things doesnt really matter at all, as long as you are there, thats all that matters and they will give you the love!
Forgive and Forget. When you have multiple dogs, sometimes they could possibly fight over foods and toys. But what is so amazing about dogs is that one minute they fight and the next minute they play and kiss each other again, as if they didnt have a deadly fight a minute prior. I dont know if its a dogs nature that they forget right away, but it is definitely something that humans can learn, forgive then forget then live life like it never happen.
Do Your Job and Be Happy. Many times people are busy with works, activities, and life that they forget to take a deep breath, relax and be happy. Sometimes we give our dogs a routinary life as well like their food time, potty time, play time, bed time, and they usually dont complain, they just do as they are told but then somehow dogs manage to give us kisses, take the oppurtunity to run and play whenever they can without being told at all.
Learn New Things. Most dogs, when they are trained, they learn new tricks. The more you teach them, the more skills and tricks they can perform. Humans are the same way, if they study and be willing, they can defintily learn, advance and develop new talents and skills as well. Humans should never limit themselves to what they can or cannot do, the more you practice the better you become at it.

Is adopting a dog right for you?

Study your living environment. Do you live in a space constraint condo or hotel or a house? A house with a fenced yard might be the best place to a furry friend, condo and hotel will also be a great home for your dog if you can provide him a comfortable place for him to sleep, play and roam around. Like humans, dog have personal neccessities, so make sure that there are places where your dog can legally pee and poo. Most cities have rules and regulations about dogs, so make sure to do some research first.
Having a dog, or puppy requires your financial budget. To properly take care of having a dog, you will have the responsibility of providing the dog his food, shelter, heartworm pills, treats, visit with the veterinary clinics, and more. Do you have extra money to accomodate a dog needs that requires a portion of your monthly income?
Do you have time to take care, play and train your dog? Are you always at home or are you a busy professional that is always out and go home late at night? Because your dog will need your time to play and will need your attention and love. If you are busy and hardly have time to be able to play with your dogs, it would not be a healthy lifestyle for your dog to be alone, lock-up all day in the room while you go to work on the day, party all night, and just spend sleeping time with the dog. Dogs will require time go outside and play, run and walk. So if you think you cannot give your time for these activities, having a puppy or a dog might not be what you need.
There are several breeds of dogs available. Evaluate your reason for having a dog. Do you plan to tag along your dogs in all your travels? You might consider having smaller type of dog because it would be easier to carry them all over. Do you plan to have a puppy to be a guard dog later on? You might consider adopting dogs with strong, intimadating, and tough personalities like german dogs. Do you want puppy or dog as playmate for your kid(s)? Try more playful and not so aggressive, not known as fighting breed dogs. Knowing your reason why you want a dog, will liekly help you determine which breed of dog you want to adopt.
After all the evaluations above, and you think you are ready to adopt a dog, then be ready to recieve unconditional love!

Finding the best kennel for your dog

Here are some tips to make sure that your dog will be in great hands while you are away:
Great kennels will not hesitate to show you around their facilities. They will show around and show you where your furry friend will be sleeping at night.
Great kennels maintain clean environment and office. Cleanliness does matters for the health and the comfort of your dog.
Great kennels always ask the pet owner the preference of the dogs eating habit because not all pets are created equal and kennel personnel should be concern about your dogs eating habit and preferences. It is important that your dog will eat properly while you are gone, and the kennel owners should be asking you this questions so that they can prepare the proper food for your dog.
Great kennels should allow you to provide your dog toys if you want to do that. And you should be allowed to provide your bed for your dog, if you want to do that.
Great kennels should be able to line up the daily activities of your dog and let you know these activities before you leave so that you will feel comfortable and relax that your pet is gonna be okey and will be in great hand while you are gone. A kennel personnel should be able to provide atleast half an hour running or walking time outside with each boarding dog daily. Better, atleast half an hour in the morning and atleast half an hour in the afternoon walking time, to maintain good health and exercise your dog.
Great kennels should have a temperature controlled room for all the dogs specially at night where they sleep. You dont want your furry friend to be sleeping in the cold cement room without heater specially during the winter or fall season where the temperature could easily drop in the night.
The more extra great service they can provide for your dogs during their stay will be great additions to make them as comfortable and at home as possibly.

First post, cheers to our pups (Part 2)

Coco is in her senior years so we try to feed her with softer food to make it easier on her broken teeth. She is very selective with the foods that she ate, and prefers moist and tender alternatives. To balance her nutrition, we still give her some hard kibbles but with mixed-in softer flavors to encourage her to it.
She is totally affectionate with humans, but she does not work very well with other dogs which is not the best since we also have another dog in the family named KATIE (see another article to know more about Katie). She is super energetic specially when she is outdoors running around in the yard without a lease.

First post, cheers to our pups (Part 1)

We named her KATIE because my hubby have this sense of humor and been wanting to call a dog Katie because it rhymes with the word KITTY, and when he will call Katie, our dog, people may hear the word KITTY and started thinking that he is calling a little cat, and then here comes a big brown dog running towards him when she hears her name Katie being called! It is kind of funny and cute, so her name is officially Katie now.
We got her from the local dog pound. She was surrended by a local family in our area who owns tons of dogs and it was a blessing in disguise that they get rid of her because she become a valuable addition to ours! She was just a little puppy when we got her, quite skinny and silent, but now my gosh, she just loves to chow, and chow and chow. Eating is definitely her favorite thing to do, on top of everything else. She hardly had any problems with different types of foods, dry, soft, moist, chewy, etc.
Here is a video of KATIE, hope you LIKE it... feel free to share this video if you want
